Warranty Policy for Turbo Air Product range

Dear Customer,

Thank you for buying Turboair product.Turbo air is a registered brand of Elica SpA – Italy. In India all warranty related claims / products services will be taken care by Elica PB India Pivate Limited , 37/1/1 Kondhwa Pisoli Road , Pisoli Pune 411060 . website : www.turboair.in. Warranty for your product is specified in the below chart and starts from the Date of Purchase against manufacturing defects in the parts specified in below chart. Warranty Coverage is valid       only with a valid warranty registration done with company. Warranty is void for any alterations made in product, Scratches, breakages ,unauthorised installations, damage due to misuse , normal wear & tear.

  1. Who is covered for Warranty?

This warranty extends only to the first consumer purchaser, and is not transferable. Consumer who has registered for warranty with company by filling up the Warranty registration form & has sent the same to Elica PB India Private Limited from  the manual / online registration on website www.turboair.in would be eligible for one year warranty from Date of Purchase. Company shall issue warranty registration number which should be produced to avail warranty benefits.

  1. What is not covered? (Exclusions)
    1. Product registration: Product not registered for Warranty with Company.
    2. Installation : Product not installed by Authorised  service person / authorised service centre. Refer website www.turboair.in for authorised service centres.
    3. Electronic parts are not covered under warranty.
    4. Normal Wear and Tear : Periodic maintenance, repair and replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear are excluded from coverage. Discoloration of burners due to oxidation on usage.
    5. Abuse & Misuse : Defects or damage that result from :

a.    Improper operation, storage, misuse or abuse, accident or neglect, such as physical damage (cracks, scratches, rusts, breakage of glass etc.) to the surface of the product resulting from misuse.

b.     Contact with liquid, water, rain, extreme humidity or exposure to acidic atmosphere, sand, dirt or the like, extreme heat, or food.

c.     Use of the Products for commercial purposes or subjecting the Product or Accessory to abnormal usage or conditions,or

d.     Attack of pests / rodents / birds making nests in the duct pipe

e.     Other acts which are not the fault of  Elica PB India Private Limited.

f.     Consumer using  any kitchen utensils/ cooking appliances /aids which cover the burners and touch the glass surface directly of the Glass Built in Hob /cooktops , are excluded     from coverage. Consumer using deep round bottom vessels which touch the surface of the burner.

g.    Usage of non suitable vessels

h.    Usage of wrong detergents/ non-suitable or not intended for cleaning kitchenhoods , hobs or cooktops.

i.     Using Built in Hob as cooktop by adding legs / stand.

j.     Using detergent / hot water / any other cleaning agent  in auto clean kitchenhood.

  1. Use of Non Turbo Air Products and Accessories. Defects or damage that result from the use of Non-Turbo Air branded Products, Accessories, Spares or other peripheral equipment are excluded from coverage.
  2. Unauthorized Service or Modification. Defects or damages resulting from service, testing, Adjustment, installation, maintenance, alteration, including without limitation, Product changes, or modification in any way by someone other than Elica PB India Private Limited, or its authorized service centers, are excluded from coverage.
  3.  Altered Products. Products or Accessories with (a) serial numbers or date tags that have been removed, altered or obliterated; (b) broken seals or that show evidence of tampering; (c) mismatched board serial numbers; or (d) nonconforming or non-Turbo Air  housings, Filters , spares or parts, are excluded from coverage.
  4. Erratic Electric supply . Any electronic part gets damaged due to erratic power supply , improper electrical circuit or any damages occuring in product due to erratic power supply are excluded from coverage
  5. Accidents : accidents as a result of following reasons:

a) Accidents caused due to non maintenance of the product  are excluded from coverage. Fire in  kitchenhoods due to non  cleaning of filters.

b) Charcoal filters directly exposed to flame of cooktop / hob

c) Consumer using  any kitchen utensils/ cooking appliances /aids which cover the burners and touch the glass surface directly of the Glass Built in Hob /cooktops , are excluded from coverage.

d) Customer failing to read the right usage of the product from the users manual & customer failing to understand standard features of the product.

3.             When does warranty Expire ?

Warranty will automatically terminate on the expiry of the warranty as specified in the above table , even if the product may not be in use for any time during the warranty period for any reason, such claims will be excluded from coverage. Any change of location or changes in the ownership during the warranty period are excluded from coverage.

4.             How to Obtain Warranty Service or Other Information?

You will receive instructions on how to send  the Products/ , Accessories at your expense, to a Authorized Repair Center. To obtain service, you must include:

a.      a copy of your receipt, bill of sale or other comparable proof of purchase;

b.      a written description of the problem;

c.      Warranty details

d.      the name and location of the installation facility (if applicable) and, most importantly; your address and telephone number.

In case the product can be repaired at site the parts under warranty will be change on free of cost basis but the cost to provide the services will be charged.

5.            Abusive / Wrong Behaviour

Incase Consumer uses abusive language while registering complain / or obtaining service related information with the person attending the call on the toll free number, then in such case company will hook the call and may not entertain the call again. Incase  Consumer does not allow  the technician to inspect the product  or gets physically or verbally abusive with the technician in such case  Company shall terminate the warranty and will not entertain any further complaints from the consumer.

In such incidences company shall take restrictive action against the customer.

6.            Replacement

a.     CONCEALED DAMAGE:
Product that is damaged but which cannot be seen from the outside of the carton, please e-mail customercare@elica.in Concealed damaged must be reported within 8 days of purchase. Visible damage should be refused and not accepted at time of delivery.

b.     DOA POLICY
Out of box DOA (DEAD ON ARRIVAL) are now eligible for exchange within 8 days of purchase.  Please e-mail  customercare@elica.in and report the problem. After 8 days, (no exceptions) product will be called at the nearest service station / company  to schedule for repair. If product has been installed and then fails within the 8 days unit must be called into our nearest service station/ company   and arranged for service. Also all DOA product must be returned in original packaging ,with  original purchase invoice & warranty card (if registered  for warranty) and with a authorised technicians report.

c.     RA (Return Authorisation) PROCEDURE
Within 8 working days of contacting  customer care Department of Elica PB India Private Limited , an RA will be issued to the location of the defective product. A replacement will be sent once the Dealer/Reseller has signed off on the RA authorizing sales to send out a replacement. The replacement will be billed to the Distributor/Dealer to replace the product to customer. Once the defective product is returned to the company a corresponding credit note will be issued to the Distributor/Dealer. All relevant purchase proofs should be given with RA , material should be in original packaging.

Replacements for any of the above cases are not possible if the consumer does not allow technician to inspect the product. In such cases company reserves rights to take unilateral decision.

7.             What will Elica PB India Private Limited do when we receive complaint on 1800 233 0007 (Toll Free) / email : customercare@elica.in ?

The company  on receipt of complaint will direct the nearest Authorised service station to inspect the product .Elica India Private Limited , at its option, will repair, replace parts  that are covered under warranty. However will charge the customer for providing service. We may use functionally equivalent reconditioned/refurbished/pre-owned or new Products, Accessories or parts. The company is not obliged to provide customer with a substitute /standby product during the service period or any time. The company  will repair the product & will not replace the product with a new product.

Incase the call is for installation of the product the company will contact the nearest Authorised service centre to install the product and give Demonstration of the product. Installation & demonstration are not covered under warranty / cost of the product and will attract charges.

8.             What Other Limitations Are There?

This warranty is effected in Pune and claims, if any, shall be made only before the courts having jurisdiction in Pune and no claim shall be made against the company outside Pune not withstanding that the appliance may have been sold or delivered else where . All such cases will be subject to Pune jurisdiction. Company reserves sole discretionary power to settle them. Existence of dispute / claim if any will not constitute claim against company.

Libel is a statement or comment about a person or organization that cannot be proven to be true and may be considered damaging to their reputation, integrity and/or interests. Libelous statements are prohibited and will be legally dealt.
